The information about this transaction became known in the course of a business-forum in Washington, where the director of Horizon Capital Fund Yelena Kosharna announced investments of the fund into a Ukrainian company without specifying its name. However, in his Twitter account the Minister for Economic Development of Ukraine Aivaras Abromavicius disclosed the name of the company in which the private equity fund Horizon Capital invested its capital.

According to "Capital", Dnepropetrovsk supermarket chain Varus buys "Perekriostok" stores. Varus will control 13 sales outlets, the right to lease the premises and equipment, as well as the remains of the goods in warehouses. In two or three months it is planned to rename "Perekriostok" stores into Varus.

The chain of construction materials of the German group Praktiker has sold its Ukrainian stores to audit company Kreston Guarantee Group Ukraine in the interest of a private investor, according to "Kommersant-Ukraine" referring to the press service of the Praktiker Group.

It has become known that the owner of the agricultural holding KSG Agro, Sergey Kasiyanov, and Varus chain negotiate on merging the chains Spar and Bekono (about 20 outlets) with Varus chain, the co-owner of Varus, Ruslan Shostak, told the "Capital". All Spar stores will be renamed to Varus, and Sergey Kasiyanov will receive a share in the management company "Omega" in return.
