Chicago company Intersog with a development office in Odessa, announced the purchase of Odessa developer SoftTechnics, according to AIN.UA. The transaction is valued at USD 2.5 million, the part of transaction will be paid in cash, the rest – in shares.
Prior to the merger Intersog had about 150 employees (sales and administration in Chicago, development – in Odessa), while SoftTechnics had about 50 people. Following the transaction, the entire staff of the company SoftTechnics moved to Intersog office in Odessa. The staff reduction is not expected and for some time SoftTechnics will operate under a separate brand. SoftTechnics enters Intersog with all its customers (including new contracts).
Intersog was established in 2005 by immigrants from Odessa – Igor Fedulov (CEO of the company) and Vadim Chernega (Marketing Vice President). They also own ComboApp (PR and marketing of mobile applications) and a design studio dart117. Intersog is engaged in mobile, gaming, and web development.
SoftTechnics was established in 2007, is engaged in web development, mobile applications development and games creation.
