According to the newspaper "Kommersant-Ukraine", the "Western Milk Group" (TM "Komo") gained control of Kanev butter and cheese factory which formerly belonged to the "Club syra". The "Western Milk Group" refused to comment on the information. However, the source of "Kommersant-Ukraine" has confirmed that Kanev butter and cheese factory is being bought by the "Western Milk Group", but the deal has not yet been closed.

According to the estimates of Tamara Levchenko, a senior analyst of Dragon Capital, the cost of the Kanev butter and cheese factory could amount to USD 8-14 million.

Kanev butter and cheese factory is one of the largest Ukrainian cheese-making enterprises. The powers of the butter and cheese factory provide the ability to produce 65 tons of cheese and 5.1 tons of butter per day. In 2012, the income was UAH 448.2 million, the net profit was UAH 34.5 million.

In the estimation of Dragon Capital, in 2012 the "Western Milk Group" was the fifth largest producer of cheese with a market share of 5.5%.
