The Ukrainian market unites both international and domestic law firms operating on it. The differences between them are quite relative, as the majority of employees working both here and there are Ukrainians, having graduated from Ukrainian law universities.
Law firms can be divided into three groups:
- Law firms that provide typical standardized services, which are mostly limited to filling in the standard forms.
- Law firms that specialize in relatively complex cases and have extensive experience in dealing with certain problems.
- Law firms, which solve the most complex, non-standard tasks.
As a rule, the choice of legal M&A advisors begins with the selection of three or four companies with a high reputation and experience in solving similar problems. Then, a financial consultant for M&A, which holds the overall coordination of the transaction, sends a request for proposals and analyzes the commercial offers.
